Daring to Pray
Over the last week we have been looking at Jesus teaching us to pray 'Your Kingdom come' - a prayer that one commentor succinctly described as "the prayer that changes the world". This is no meek, lukewarm, safe, small little prayer... quite the opposite! It is a bold, courageous, transformative and faith-filled prayer of submission, trust and deep yearning.
Who, where and when better to start praying that for than us, right here, and right now?!? The challenge from last Sunday morning was to place (or imagine) yourself in a circle and pray for God's Kingdom to come within you. For his will be done in us, as it is in heaven!
And then to progress outwards, praying for our families, church, schools, workplaces, communities, nation and world that God's Kingdom would come, His will would be done in those people and places as it is in heaven.

News from Muana & Villy
You might remember that earlier this year, the NVBC short-term-mission-team helped finish (painting, tiling and gardening) a worship place for the San Pa Tong Christians, which donations from NVBC helped to pay for. Since then, Muana & Villy have hosted other short-term mission teams, helping to build a worship place for those at Baan Sra. Critical building expertise was given by two worshippers from San Pa Tong. They erected the six supporting posts, but only after Muana led the blessing ceremony. This new worship place was dedicated earlier this month. The Buddhist fasting season starts later in the month, when many Thai increase their religious interest. NVBC has been a long-term supporter of Muana & Villy who have been working with the Northern Thai people since 2001. Learn more about this work here. Ministry Highlight: State Kids Camp
This week saw a number of our NVBC kids join with other kids ministries across the state at the annual Baptist State Kids Camp. It was great few days of making new friends, having a blast and continuing to learn about our Great God together! A big thank you to all who were praying or who helped support our young people to get there. They will share more in next week's service.
Youth Pastor Search Team
Our Board has recruited and appointed a youth pastoral search team (comprising representatives from our youth, youth leaders, parents, pastors, elders and board). They will now begin meeting, reviewing applications and working towards interviewing potential candidates. Please be in prayer for God's clear guidance and provision throughout this important process.

Weekly Giving Target is $10,400
Currently we are Averaging $8,468
Meaning we are $2000 per week less than what we need to be supporting the Church Operations.
