Healing Testimony
Last Sunday morning we had a chance at the end of the message to pray for one another in the area of physical healing. It was so heartwarming to see some hands shoot up when asked if they had received healing in that moment. One of the healing testimonies that came out of last Sunday is from Craig Corkill, which you can read for your encouragement:
"For over a month, I had been experiencing growing pain in my right knee. To be honest, I wasn’t sure if: I’d somehow twisted it the wrong way, played one too many games of basketball in my youth, or if was just a function of getting older (don’t start hassling me about getting older … yes I’m looking at you Neil Harris!)
So when Steve Stewart invited those with pain in their knee, specifically their right knee, to stand to receive prayer, I thought “Hey, why not? Let’s see what God might do. What have I got to lose?”
I was sitting with Bryan and Sue Solomons, so they prayed a very short and simple prayer commanding healing. Following prayer, there was no pain and after testing it out I had full movement. Since Sunday there have been occasional twinges in my right knee, but certainly not the pain I was previously experiencing. I am really thankful to God for this, and for the willingness of His people to give it a go and simply pray."
Thank you Lord!!
If you also have a healing testimony coming out of last Sunday (or any other testimony of experiencing God's goodness in answered prayer) then we'd love to hear it! Please share the encouragement with us so we can join in thanking and giving glory to God with you.
We also know that physical healing prayers can be a sensitive topic. If you would like to process anything from Sunday or on the topic, please come chat with Travis or any of our pastoral team.
Compassion Trip
Last month, David Wolski travelled to Thailand with Compassion, to visit Compassion projects and churches, and meet his sponsored children. You can watch some of his highlights and his takeaways from the trip here:
Did you know that there are nearly 100 children being sponsored through our NVBC family? If you are thinking about sponsoring a child with Compassion, click here. If you are already a sponsor, some helpful tips for letter writing can be found here.
PM Dessert & Discussion
Last Sunday night we were spoilt beyond measure with lots of conversations over a dessert feast! If you weren't able to be there, below is a little "taste" of how good the night was...
It wasn't all about desserts and full bellies though, as we also had the chance to brainstorm and dream into the future of our PM service. Reading through the responses has our hearts and minds racing with all the ideas and vision for PM that was captured on sticky notes and butchers paper! Thank you to all who came, shared and participated (and a big shout out to the ridiculously talented Nathan Hince for the amazing spread of desserts!).
With a number of our regulars unable to make it last Sunday night, we will open up another space to discuss and dream together after the service this coming Sunday for anyone who missed out last week.
Connect Weekend
It's only a little over one week to go until our Connect Weekend events begin! Check out the calendar of events below and make sure to save space in your diaries that weekend to be involved.

You can sign up to specific events by emailing the church office or by signing up on the whiteboard in the foyer on Sunday.
Final 151 Committee Report
With the official sale of 151 Narara Valley Dr, the committee investigating the possibility of purchasing it has formally concluded. Throughout the process there has been a strong commitment to completing due diligence in investigating the possibilities, coupled with a strong commitment to being prayerful and discerning. A big thank you to the committee, for taking on this investigation and discernment at the beginning of the year.
One thing highlighted throughout the process is how thankful to God we should be for the amazing site we find ourselves on at 149 Narara Valley Dr!! We honour the courage, faith and sacrifice that first small group of NVBCians made to initially purchase this land for Kingdom ministry right here in the heart of Narara Valley. We continue to build on their legacy in pursuing all that God has for us now and into the future as a church, as we seek to reach and bless our community with the Good News of Jesus.
Please find below the final summary report from the 151 Committee.
