Undoubtedly, the gospel is central to Christianity. But, do we all mean the same thing when we talk about ‘the gospel’? Is it just about ‘salvation of souls’? Is it somehow connected to the physical earth? Is it primarily about the future — or the here and now? Is it something that can be summarised on the back of a napkin or with a simple formula? Or is it more grand and irreducible than that? And in either case, how can we share it and do so well — in ways that are easy to grasp, relevant for our context and true to the mission and message of Jesus? How can we share it in both word and deed without leaning too far in either direction? The aim of this series will be to a) build a shared understanding of the heartbeat of the gospel and b) equip individuals to share it in their own words and deeds.
